Dinn Bros. Trophies Inc. Guidelines for Giving - 2015 and 2016
As the leading provider of sports, academic, and business awards, Dinn Bros., Inc., believes that the greatest success can be achieved by recognizing the success of others. By being an active participant in the many worthwhile causes in which our customers participate, we strive to accomplish our goals of rewarding teamwork, skills, and dedication. Though giving locally in the Western Massachusetts area is our primary focus, Dinn Bros. is proud to support organizations nationally as well. The following information explains our guidelines for reviewing all 2014 and 2015 donation requests.
Due to the high volume of requests for contributions, the Dinn family designated an independent committee comprised of a team of employees to review all requests for contributions, and to determine the final recipients. The Contributions Committee meets monthly and is solely responsible for ensuring each request meets the required guidelines and criteria. Dinn Bros. does not disclose the names of the committee members and they are not available via phone, fax, or email.
Dinn Bros. does not support the following, no matter how worthy the effort or undertaking:
- Individuals who participate in an athletic event on behalf of a charity
- Team Sponsorship and/or travel expenses
- Student exchange or travel programs
- Religious or Political organizations
- Beauty pageants or talent contests
- Capital campaigns and multi-year pledges
Requests for advertisements in programs and yearbooks are to be directed to the attention of the Contributions and Requests Department. Please do not contact our Marketing and Advertising departments concerning these requests, as they do not fall under our marketing/advertising strategic plans.
Only tax exempt 501(c)(3) organizations will be considered.
Requests under $500.00 are considered sponsorships or donations. All sponsorships/ donations must be received by mail 60 days prior to the event or the deadline date.
Requests over $500.00 are considered to be grants. All grant requests for 2015 must be submitted by Aug. 26, 2014 for the decision to be made by October 28, 2014, organizations will be notified by December 30, 2014. All grant requests for 2016 must be submitted by Aug. 26, 2015 for the decision to be made by October 28, 2015, organizations will be notified by December 30, 2015.
Please submit a brief request in writing that includes:
- A clear and concise description of the organization
- The product type or monetary amount the organization is requesting
- The purpose for which the donation will be used
- The date by which the donation is needed
- The organization's tax exempt number/certificate
- Submit completed proposals to:

Upon approval, eligible recipients will be notified in writing - please allow at least three weeks for written notification.
In an effort to aid as many worthy causes as possible, we cannot contribute to the same person/organization for consecutive years.

While we wish we could honor every request, there are a limited number of resources available in comparison the many eligible applicants.
